What’s good!

On the surface, David Fajgenbaum appears to have it all. He’s married, has a child, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at The University of Pennsylvania. You don’t have to dig too deep to learn the determination of this man.

In medical school, David had death knocking on his door 5 times after being diagnosed with the extremely rare Castleman disease. Running out of treatment options, he took matters into his own hands by developing the Castleman Disease Collaborative Network, and also using an untested drug for his condition on himself which turned out to be the cure for his disease.

So, sitting on the hot seat for Docs Outside the Box ain’t a thing to him! He’s on to talk about his amazing story of persistence, believing in yourself, and creating your own silver linings in life!

He’s an author too! His book is Chasing My Cure: A Doctor’s Race To Turn Hope into Action
