This episode was recorded in the back of a taxi/uber in Ghana. We’re apart of this great organization called International Healthcare Volunteers (IHCV), which has an annual medical mission to Ghana. We were on our way to join the rest of our team at Lekma Hospital in Teshie.

Thank you so much, Dr. Darko, for finding and then broadcasting the amazing, game-changing work of doctors working outside (and inside) the box. I already had my first bout of professional burnout less than a few years out of residency, but listening to your podcast has inspired me to get my head back in the game and perhaps, find my own unique contribution.

I wish this was around when I was a med student – I can’t say enough about how helpful this has been in pointing out things we as physicians don’t think about.
